This site is a brand showcase. It has no shop, no accounts and no sign-up forms, so there is very little for us to collect. This page explains the little there is.

1. Who we are

This website, valoren-forge.com, is operated by Valoren Forge, a brand of Vizcaino & Dulac Associates LLC, Wyoming, USA ("Valoren Forge", "we", "us"). We design and sell wood carving tools, which reach customers through Amazon. Questions about this policy go to our contact email.

2. What this website does and does not do

The site exists to present our products, explain how to care for them, and point you to Amazon.

  • It does not take orders, payments or card details.
  • It does not have user accounts or logins.
  • It does not have contact forms or newsletter forms. Contact links open your own email program.

When you click through to Amazon you leave this site, and Amazon's own privacy policy applies to everything that happens there, including your order.

3. Information we collect

Information you send us

If you email us we receive whatever is in that message: your email address, your name if you sign it, your Amazon order number, and any photos you attach. We use it to answer you and to handle warranty or defect claims, and nothing else.

Technical information from your visit

Our hosting provider records standard server logs when a page is served: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser type and referring page. These exist for security and reliability and are kept by the provider under their own retention schedule.

Advertising and measurement technologies

We advertise on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram). When the Meta Pixel is active on this site it sets cookies and sends Meta information about your visit — such as the page viewed, your IP address, browser details and clicks on our Amazon buttons — so we can measure whether our ads work and reach people likely to be interested in carving tools.

Current status: the pixel is installed in a disabled state and only runs once it is switched on in our site configuration. While it is off, no pixel data is collected. Meta acts as an independent controller for the data it receives; see Meta's own privacy policy for how they use it.

4. Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. It has no analytics account, no chat widget and no embedded tracking beyond what is described above. The only cookies that may appear are those set by the Meta Pixel when it is enabled, and by third-party services we load (fonts and, later, video).

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and control ad personalisation in your Meta account settings. Blocking cookies does not break this site.

5. Third parties we load content from

  • Google Fonts — typefaces load from Google servers, which receive your IP address as part of that request.
  • Meta — only when the pixel is enabled, as described above.
  • Video hosting — tutorial videos, once published, may be hosted on a third-party platform that sets its own cookies when you play one.
  • Amazon — our product links point to Amazon, a separate company with its own privacy policy.
  • Our hosting provider — serves the pages and keeps server logs.

6. How we use information

  • To answer your email and resolve warranty or defect claims.
  • To keep the site available, fast and secure.
  • To measure and improve our advertising, when the pixel is enabled.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share your email with anyone for marketing.

7. Legal bases (visitors in the EEA and the UK)

  • Legitimate interests — answering your messages, keeping the site secure, understanding basic traffic.
  • Consent — advertising and measurement cookies, where your country requires consent.
  • Legal obligation — where we must keep records or respond to lawful requests.

8. How long we keep it

Email correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle your request and to keep a record of warranty claims, then deleted. Server logs and advertising data follow the retention periods of the provider concerned.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California and other US states with similar laws may have the right to know what is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of certain sharing for targeted advertising. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of them write to our contact email. We reply within the time your local law allows. If you are in the EEA or the UK and are not satisfied, you may complain to your national data protection authority.

10. International transfers

We are a small operation, and the services we rely on — hosting, fonts, advertising and email — may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Those providers apply their own safeguards to such transfers.

11. Children

This site is not directed at children, and carving tools are intended for adult use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.

12. Security

The site is served over HTTPS and holds no customer database, because it stores nothing about you. Email is not a secure channel by nature, so please do not send us payment details or identity documents.

13. Changes to this policy

If we add a feature that changes what we collect — analytics, a newsletter, a contact form — we will update this page and change the date at the top before that feature goes live.

14. Contact

Email our contact email. A person reads it, usually within one business day.
