Two directions to replace Nexa Rust
Nexa Rust is a paid family and is not on Google Fonts, so here are two free pairings that keep its character: a condensed display with worked-surface texture for headlines, a warm script for accents, and Montserrat for body copy in both. Everything below is the real stylesheet, not a mockup.

Option A · Workshop Sign
Tall, engineered condensed caps with a cut, tooled edge. The script reads hand-painted, like a sign brushed onto a workshop door.

Body copy — Montserrat 400
Each blade carries an acid-etched forge pattern across the flat of the steel only. The bevel and the cutting edge are left polished and unetched: no texture where the tool meets the wood, no drag through the cut.

Strengths: strongest condensed texture of the two, holds up at very large sizes, most
distance from a generic template. Watch: very tall lowercase, so keep headlines in caps.
Option B · Stamped Crate
Solid condensed caps like a stencil stamped onto a shipping crate. The script is a carpenter’s pencil note rather than a painted sign — quieter, more personal.
